Hockey Glove and Equipment Repair Solutions

The Palmsaver: Hockey Glove and Equipment Repair Solutions

Created by a Hockey Player, for Hockey Players

The Palmsaver was created by a longtime ice hockey player from Buffalo, New York, who understood firsthand how quickly hockey glove palms can wear out. After years of playing hockey and watching his son compete on travel teams, damaged glove palms became a familiar—and expensive—problem.

Replacing an otherwise usable pair of hockey gloves simply because the palms were torn or worn did not make sense. Attempts to repair the damage with common materials such as tape and rubber provided only temporary fixes. Sweat, friction, moisture, and regular use caused these makeshift repairs to wear out or lose their hold.

That experience inspired the development of The Palmsaver, a hockey glove palm repair solution designed to help players repair damaged areas and extend the usable life of their gloves.

Developing a Better Hockey Glove Palm Repair

Creating The Palmsaver involved researching and testing different materials and adhesives to find a combination capable of handling the demands of hockey. The repair system was tested on hockey gloves during practices and games before becoming the product available to players today.

The Palmsaver uses a strong, lightweight synthetic material and adhesive system designed for hockey glove palm repairs.

The Palmsaver Helps Players:

  • Repair worn or damaged hockey glove palms
  • Protect high-wear areas of hockey gloves
  • Extend the usable life of existing gloves
  • Address damage to palms, thumbs, fingers, seams, and gusset areas
